Halo Restoration Services, LLC cleans your commercial kitchen's vent hood system from the cook-top to the roof-top. We start by protecting your kitchen cooking equipment and floors with new, clean plastic. We then use a top to bottom approach starting on the roof with the exhaust fan, making our way down the ducts to the vent hood in the kitchen. We complete the job by cleaning your baffle filters, drying and polishing the hoods and mopping the floors.

Halo Restoration Services (HRS) uses time tested, industry standard cleaning techniques to clean the entire hood exhaust system. This means the proper cleaning of the vent hood itself, all ductwork (horizontal and vertical), and the exhaust fans, thoroughly to bare metal. This is the only method which insures compliance with fire code requirements and protection from the threat of exhaust system fires. HRS certified technicians begin the cleaning by draping your kitchen area and equipment with new, clean plastic. Next we place a funnel of plastic under the hood which drains into a custom built filtration barrel which contains the grease buildup removed from the system. This mean it does not go down your floor drains.
Our technicians use a combination of chemical degreaser, scrubbing, and power washing to remove the grease buildup from the hood, duct, and exhaust fan of your hood system. This cleaning also includes any baffle filters in your system as well. Once the cleaning portion of the service is complete, we dry and polish your vent hood and reinstall the baffle filters. Finally, we clean up all areas serviced by removing plastic draping, and wiping down surfaces, and mopping floors.
Founded in 2010, Halo Restoration Services has become the leader in commercial vent hood cleaning services in the DFW metroplex. Our team brings a combined 20 plus years experience and utilizes the most cutting edge technology for cleaning and maintaining your hood exhaust systems. From cleaning to containment, to preventative maintenance work, we are your go to experts!
Each year, 11,200 structure fires are reported by eating and drinking establishments, resulting in an average of $164.4 million in direct property damage. Half of these fires originate in the cooking area, which can then explode into the exhaust system. Keeping a grease-free and fire-safe kitchen exhaust system can protect restaurants from fire damage.
Regularly maintaining the vent hood system will ensure a secure environment for cooking. A system that is safely working at peak performance will ultimately lead to a working environment that’s cleaner, cooler and more productive for the staff.
Halo has built a reputation for providing its customers fire safe exhaust systems. We clearly understand the importance of a properly maintained vent hood system and what it means to your business. We also help make sure you’re always in compliance with the latest industry regulations.
Any place that cooks food commercially should have their kitchen hood system cleaned on a regular basis as specified by the National Fire Protection Agency – 96 code and standards. NFPA 96 provides preventive and operative fire safety requirements intended to reduce the potential fire hazard of both public and private commercial cooking operations.
This includes, but is not limited to, restaurants, nursing homes, hospitals, churches, elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, colleges, universities, military bases, theaters, jails, prisons, race tracks, theme parks, bowling allies, convenience stores, and truck stops. That said, we do offer free estimates. We will send out a trained technician to inspect your system and provide you with a quote specific to your system good for two weeks.
It depends. On average, a single hood, single fan system on a single story structure will take three hours. However, if the system is extremely dirty or if there are multiple stories, multiple fans and multiple hoods, it can take seven hours or longer.
